2022.01.25 06:59 biancogianluca9 Classification of Higgs boson decays using machine learning with Python
Hi everybody, I want to present you a project I developed some months ago using Python and machine learning within particle physics topics.
Topic: study of the Higgs boson Yukawa coupling to tau leptons using the 2012 ATLAS Run-2 dataset. Particular focus is dedicated to the usage of machine learning classification algorithms to classify the Higgs decay channel H to tautau as signal with respect to the other background processes.
For the classification have been considered the cases in which there are 0,1 or 2 jets in the final state.
Data was taken from the Higgs challenge kaggle dataset.
Let me know what do you think and don't forget to leave a star if you like it!

2022.01.25 06:59 evenforyou For those in the UK, how long did you get?
I’ve been on Accutane for nearly 4 months now, I was on 20mg but upped to 40mg two weeks ago. My skin isn’t clear, I have a shit ton of spots on my chin which is weird because I never got spots on my chin before. I’m not sure if it’s because I upped the dosage or not but my skin looked better on antibiotics lol.
I’m just wondering how long you were on Accutane for? The nurse who assessed me said they usually do 4 months, I assume it’s longer if your skin is still bad. I don’t see a Dermatologist but the nurses seem reluctant to up my dosage because I was on antidepressants 2 and a half years ago 🙄

2022.01.25 06:59 SpicyDennis What would happen if 100% of your motion through spacetime was through time?
I understand that all motion is relative and you can only measure your own velocity if you compare it to something else's velocity. I understand that there is no absolute motion or reference frame, and that someone in space claiming to be moving at 0 velocity is no different than me sitting in my chair claiming to be moving at 0 velocity.
But I also know that everything moves through spacetime at c. 100% of lights movement through spacetime is through space so it doesn't travel through time at all. Now what if 100% of somethings motion was through time and none of it was through space? What would this look like from your point and view and from an outside observer? Based on what I know about time dilation this would mean that everything around would be completely frozen and you would be moving through time faster than every one else, the opposite of if you were moving at 99.9999% the speed of light were everything outside of your reference frame moves incredibly fast.
Is this question possible to answer or am I still fundamentally misunderstanding relativity?
